Miesto vizija archeologo žvilgsniu (alternatyvus XIV-XVI a. Kauno miesto raidos modelis)

LTRemiantis archeologine medžiaga, kuri tampa instrumentu, leidžiančiu miestą ir jo istoriją traktuoti kaip naujų kultūrinių idėjų perėmėją bei tarpininką, galima sukonstruoti alternatyvų miesto raidos modelį. Šiuo metu miesto archeologijos sprendžiamiems viduramžių miesto atsiradimo (lokacijos, plano, sklypų ir jų užstatymų), statybos būdų ir formų bei miesto materialinės kultūros klausimams aptarti puikiai tinka Kauno senamiesčio (XIV - XVII a.) archeologinių tyrimų duomenimis paremtas raidos modelis. ENReferring to the archeological materials, which become an instrument, allowing for treatment of a city and its history as a successor and mediator of new cultural ideas, one can structure an alternative model of development of the city. The model of development of the Old Town of Kaunas (built in the 14th – 17th centuries), substantiated by data of archeological studies is suitable for discussion of the issues of coming into existence of the medieval town (location, plan, plots and construction of buildings on the plots), the ways and forms of construction and the material culture of the town, presently resolved by the city archeologists. The archeological data provide the information on the ways of construction of buildings and planning of buildings, plots and town space, as well as the development of the features of the social composition of the town in different periods.
