ENThe brooch is one of the most splendid and widely spread ornaments. During hundreds of years their shape, style, ornament and zones of spread varied quite much. So the difference of their types, sub types, options are very convenient chronological indicators, which allow us to determine the chronology of the archaelogical object or complex. Thanks to them we may trace the trade abd cultural contacts, to highlight the separate cultural units. The purpose of this article is to classify the brooches of 3 types as precisly as possible – „ordinary“ crossbow brooches with a bent foot, ring and crossbow brooches with a triangular foot. We also are going to trace their evolution, determine and verify the chronology of the highlighted sub types and options. [From the publication]
