Kada Lietuvoje baigėsi barokas?

LTStraipsnyje atnaujinama diskusija apie baroko meninio stiliaus tradicijos tąsą Lietuvoje. Straipsnio objektas - kai kurių XIX a. Lietuvos bažnyčių altorių, tiksliau, jų retabulų architektūra ir skulptūra. Aptariami XVIII a. baroko elementai, išlikę XIX a. pabaigos - XX a. I pusės istorizmo epochos altoriuose, ir jų integravimo būdai bei principai. Analizuojama "neatpažintojo baroko" vieta neobaroko įrenginiuose, baroko imitacijos ir kartotės, pasimokiusių meistrų svarba tradicijos tąsai. Diskusijai siūloma nuomonė, jog iki pat XX a. kai kur Lietuvos provincijoje natūraliai išliko ne tik vėlyvojo baroko meno - altorių puošybos fragmentų, integruotų vėlesniuose kūriniuose, bet ir juos atitinkančių tradicinės pasaulėvokos ypatumų. XIX a. Lietuvoje tebegyvavo nemenkas baroko architektūros ir meno paveldas, pagrindinė autentiško baroko vertybių saugotoja buvo Bažnyčia. Itin įvairių XIX a. neobaroke nugrimzdusių XVII a. pab.-XVIII a. baroko elementų išsaugojo Lietuvos provincijos bažnyčių altoriai ir kiti mediniai įrenginiai. Barokinių elementų integravimas neobaroko įrenginiuose tapo dažnu reiškiniu staliaus amato specifikos dėka: visus medinius altorius, bažnyčios baldus tekdavo kas keliasdešimt metų iš pagrindų taisyti, pakeisti sutrešusias arba kinivarpų pagraužtas dalis naujomis lentomis bei drožybos detalėmis. Barokiniai ornamentai būdavo išdrožinėjami ir išpjaustomi lentoje kopijuojant išlikusius autentiškus fragmentus. ENThe article renews the discussion on continuation of the Baroque style tradition in Lithuania. The subject of the article is the architecture and sculpture of certain altars of Lithuanian churches of the 19th century. The elements of Baroque of the 18th century, remaining in the altars of the historicism epoch of the end of the 19th – 1st half of the 20th century and the ways and principles of their integration are discussed. The place of “unrecognized Baroque” in the neo-Baroque installations, imitations of Baroque and the importance of skilled masters for continuation of the tradition are analyzed. The discussion is started with the opinion that until the 20th century, in certain rural areas of Lithuania there naturally remained both fragments of the late Baroque – altars decorations, integrated in later works and features of traditional worldview, corresponding to the said fragments. In the 19th century Lithuania a significant heritage of Baroque architecture and art was still in existence and the main keeper of authentic Baroque values was the Church. Altars of rural Lithuanian churches and other wooden installations preserved an especially diverse elements of the Baroque of the end of the 17th – beginning of the 18th century, which submerged in the neo-Baroque of the 19th century. The integration of Baroque elements into neo-Baroque installations became a frequent phenomenon due to the specificities specificities of a carpenter trade: all wooden altars and church furniture had to be essentially renovated, the rotten parts had to be replaced by new boards and carving details each several decades. The Baroque elements were carved in boards by copying the remaining authentic fragments. During the restorations in the 20th century certain copies were plaster effusions of the Baroque ornaments, which were virtually identical to the wooden originals.
