Kabeliai 2 Stone Age Site

LTPer paskutinįjį XX a. dešimtmetį Lietuvoje suaktyvėjus mezolito tyrimams buvo ištirta nemažai gyvenviečių, kurių tyrimų medžiaga nebetelpa į jau seniai nusistovėjusias viduriniojo akmens amžiaus kultūrinės-chronologinės periodizacijos schemas. Archeologai yra priversti jas peržiūrėti. Bene svarbiausias čia - Kabelių (Varėnos r.) 2-osios akmens amžiaus gyvenvietės - pirmosios Lietuvos daugiasluoksnės vėlyvojo paleolito ir mezolito durpyninės gyvenvietės vaidmuo. Šios gyvenvietės tyrimų metu ežero pakrantėje ir terasos šlaite buvo aptikti trys kultūriniai sluoksniai. Tyrimai parodė, kad ankstyvajame mezolite ir vidurinio mezolito pradžioje, Preborealio laikotarpio 2-oje pusėje - Borealio laikotarpio 1-oje pusėje, Pietų Lietuvoje gyveno 2 kultūrų, Kundos ir Kudlajevkos, žmonių bendruomenės. Vėlyvajame mezolite (Borealio pabaiga - Atlančio laikotarpio 1 periodas), šioje teritorijoje gyveno Janislavicų kultūros žmonių grupės.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Pietryčių Lietuva; Kabelių 2-oji stovyklavietė; Mezolitas; Radiniai; South Eastern Lithuania; Kabeliai 2nd habitation site Mezolithic; Artefacts.

ENDuring the studies of the Mesolithic Era, which became more active in Lithuania in the last decade of the 20th century a significant number of settlements was studied and the materials of studies no longer correspond to the entrenched schemes of the cultural-chronological periodization of the middle Stone Age. The archeologists are forced to revise the schemes. The role of Kabeliai (Varėna district) – the first Lithuanian multi-layer peat settlement of the later Palaeolith and the Mesolith is actually most important in this regard. During the studies of the settlement on the shore of the lake and on the slope of the terrace three cultural layers were discovered. The studies showed that in the early Mesolith and at the beginning of the middle Mesolith, in the second half of the pre-Borealis period – the first half of the Borealis period, communities of two cultures, i. e. Kunda and Kudlayevka inhabited the Southern Lithuania. In the late Mesolith (the end of Borealis – the first period of the Atlantis Era), groups of people of the Yanislavian culture inhabited the territory.
