Istorijos ir sociologijos sąlyčio beieškant

LTIdentiteto istorijos ir dabarties santykio tema pasirinkta kaip socialinių reikšmių konstravimo klausimas, kurio problemiškas pobūdis nusako ir identiteto apibrėžimą: identiteto sąvoka sietina ne su išoriškai priskiriamomis esmėmis, bet veikiau su padėtimis, kurios perteikia visuomet kintantį santykį tarp kitų žmonių priskiriamų “tapatumo” savybių ir paties žmogaus konstruojamo naratyvinio aspekto, nusakančio tai, ko esamu laikotarpiu stinga pasakojančiam asmeniui. Istorikai dažniausiai sutelkia dėmesį į specifinius bruožus; sociologai siekia atskleisti bendrąsias sąlygas, kurias nusako kažkokie specifiniai bruožai. Tačiau šiandien aptinkame istorinių tyrinėjimų kryptį, kuri bando daryti apibendrinimus, nutoldama nuo specifinių įvykių, ir vis dažniau taikyti sociologijos metodus. Taigi, nepaisant to, jog sociologai ir istorikai turi polinkį su įtarimu žvelgti vieni į kitus, pagal savo interesus ir metodus jie, galima sakyti, suartėja. Tariamas istorikų polinkis konkretinti, o sociologų – apibendrinti yra tik iš dalies tikslus. Mokslo filosofų šiandien sutartinai pripažįstama, kad ne tik faktai lemia daugiau ar mažiau tikėtiną istorinės tikrovės supratimą. Istorijos ir sociologijos jungtis gali būti nusakoma kaip galimybių archeologija. Svarbu suprasti, jog bet kuri istorinė raida „nužudo“ keletą socialinio pasirinkimo galimybių. ENThe theme of the relationship of the history and the present of identity has been chosen as an issue of construction of social meanings. The problem nature of this issue implies the definition of identity: the concept of identity is related not to externally attributed matters, but rather to the states that convey the ever changing relationship between the features of “identity” attributed by other people and the narrative aspect constructed by the individual, which says what the narrator lacks at the present time. Historians mainly focus on specific features; sociologists seek to reveal general conditions described by certain specific features. However, today we can detect the trend of historical research that attempts at making generalisations thus moving away from specific events, and use sociology methods more often. Thus, despite the fact that sociologists and historians tend to be suspicious towards each other, they could be said to come closer to each other by their interests and methods. The supposed inclination of historians to concretise and that of sociologists to generalise is only partially true. Today science philosophers unanimously agree that not only facts determine a more or less credible understanding of historical reality. The link of history and sociology might be described as archaeology of possibilities. It is very important to understand that any historical development “kills” several possibilities of social choice. When we understand this truth, we must consider the issue of the relationship between values and facts, try to search for the “killed and buried” possibilities, record not only a fact, but also its relationship with the wider social entirety.
