Stasys Šalkauskis ir Antanas Maceina kaip politikos filosofai

LTStraipsnio tikslas - Šalkauskio ir Maceinos požiūrio į politikos filosofiją analizė. Nagrinėjamos šių autorių tarpukario laikotarpio pažiūros. Neliečiama vėlesnioji Maceinos kūryba. Straipsnis pagrįstas įsitikinimu, kad neišsiaiškinus Šalkauskio ir Maceinos požiūrio į politikos filosofiją, neįmanoma pagrįstai kalbėti apie jų politines pažiūras. Šie autoriai nebuvo politikos filosofai tikrąja to žodžio prasme. Apie šios disciplinos problemas jie rašė visai kitiems tikslams skirtuose darbuose. Todėl prieš pereinant prie šių filosofų politinių pažiūrų analizės, būtina išsiaiškinti jų santykį su šios disciplinos problematika. ENŠalkauskis and Maceina are regarded as the two most prominent philosophers of interwar Lithuania. The purpose of the article is to analyse the attitudes of both authors held towards politics. There is a certain degree of paradox in the way Šalkauskis and Maceina treat politics. While taking a wide interest in the problems of political life both of them avoid any analysis of political philosophy. In his essays on cultural philosophy Šalkauskis evades a more thorough analysis of political issues. Whenever he touches upon a certain political topic he immediately skips from that subject to another. The most surprising thing is that he does not even identify politics as a separate cultural phenomenon. Maceina is more inclined to aesthetical interpretation of political phenomena. He regards politics from artist's vantage point, and the approach he takes is in compliance with all fundamental principles of romantic philosophical thinking. Maceina rejoices in the cultural nature of national state and openly manifests the end of politics. One could say that this is the ultimate dream he has as a philosopher of culture. The supremacy of culture over politics inherent in his works reflects the general decline of political life traditions in Lithuania. [From the publication]
