LTNevyriausybinių organizacijų veikla, kaip viena iš pilietinio dalyvavimo formų, užima labai svarbią vietą kiekvienoje šalyje. Nevyriausybinis sektorius, kitaip vadinamas – trečiasis sektorius, atlieka labai svarbias socialinių paslaugų teikimo, savirealizacijos, interesų atstovavimo, politinės kultūros kūrimo, vertybių ir pilietiškumo puoselėjimo funkcijas. Tačiau, pabrėžiama, jog siekiant užtikrinti šalies viešąjį gėrį, nevyriausybinio ir viešojo sektoriaus bendradarbiavimas – būtinas. ENNon-governmental organizations, as one of civic participation forms, has a very important place in every country. The non-governmental sector, otherwise known as the third sector, not just plays an important role as provider of social services, but it also gives the opportunities for peoples’ selfrealization, ensures active lobbying process, creates a political culture based on values and traditions, increased citizenship. However, in order to ensure the public good, non-governmental and public sector cooperation is essential. In this article, based on the scientific literature and juristic documents analysis, it will be revealed the concept of non-governmental organizations and cooperation with and public sector models.
