Vydūno dramaturgija : disertacija

LTVydūno dramaturgija papildo XX a. pirmosios pusės lietuvių literatūros modernėjimo istoriją: jo dramose radikaliai pakito vaizduojamasis objektas, nulėmęs naujas išraiškos paieškas, – realus buities pasaulis pakeičiamas idėjų, vidinio žmogaus gyvenimo sritimi, tradicinė drama tampa drama-vizija. Įvairių žanrų Vydūno dramose (išskyrus komedijas) dominuoja vizijos. Vydūnui, kaip ir jo amžininkams vokiečių ekpresionistams, rūpi dramose įkūnyti žmogiškumo, Naujojo Žmogaus ir naujos žmonijos idėjas, civilizacijos ir racionalizmo kritiką, įvykių esmę. Vydūnas atsisako tradicinės dramaturgijos reikalavimų, jo drama – kūrinys sau. Ypač svarbios misterijos, kurių herojai ieško gyvybės slėpinio, leidžiančio peržengti žmogiškąjį ribotumą, pasijusti visatos dalimi. Brandžiausios yra tos Vydūno dramos, kur pagrindinis dėmesys skiriamas vienam personažui. Vydūno dramos laikomos nesceniškomis, pasigendama dramatiškų konfliktų, išraiškingų charakterių. Tačiau jis kuria tuo metu, kai radikaliai pakito sceninės išraiškos priemonės, aktorių vaidyba. Vydūno dramaturgija – savitas literatūros ir teatro istorijos fenomenas, sujungęs etninę pasaulėjautą su XX a. pirmoje pusėje Vakarų Europoje prasidėjusiu dramaturgijos ir teatro modernėjimo procesu.

ENVydūnas’ dramaturgy adds to the modernisation history of literature of the first half of the 20th century: the object described has changed radically in his dramas, which lead to the search of new expression, the real world of daily life is changed into the field of ideas and internal life of a human being; a traditional drama turns into drama-vision. The visions dominate all the dramas (except for the comedies) of different genres by Vydūnas. Vydūnas as well as his contemporary German expressionist care about embodying the ideas of humanity, New type of a Man and new mankind, the critics of civilisation and rationalism, the essence of events. Vydūnas rejects the requirements of traditional dramaturgy; his drama is a piece of art for himself. A great importance fall on the mysteries where the characters look for the mystery of life which allows transcending human narrowness and to feel oneself as a part of the Universe. The most mature dramas by Vydūnas are those where all the attention goes to a single character. Vydūnas’ dramas are considered to be unactable; a lack of dramatic conflicts and expressive characters is felt. He created at the time when the means of scenic expression and acting of actors has changed dramatically however. Vydūnas’ dramaturgy is a distinctive phenomenon of history of literature and theatre that joined ethnic Weltanschauung with the process of modernisation of dramaturgy and theatre which as started in the first half of the 20 century in the Western Europe.
