ENAlthough the legal norms of the European Union regulating sexual harassment have been implemented in the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, surveys show that sexual harassment remains a common problem in various spheres of social life, especially in the workplace. The subordination inherent in employment relationships, the fear of losing jobs and income, and the shame of revealing intimate negative experiences lead to the fact that sexual harassment at work often remains unreported. As a result, the question arises whether the mechanisms established in the Lithuanian legal system to address the problems of sexual harassment in employment relations are sufficient and appropriate. This chapter analyses the concept of sexual harassment at work in Lithuanian law and discusses the main legal mechanisms that have been chosen to regulate and enforce the state’s anti-sexual harassment law in Lithuania.
