Summary / Abstract:

LTIkimokykliniame amžiuje dedami vaiko emocinės sveikatos pamatai, siekiant optimalios vaiko fizinės, emocinės, socialinės ir pažinimo brandos. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti ikimokyklinio ugdymo mokytojų nuomones bei patirtis vaikų emocinės sveikatos ugdymo(si) ypatumų ir galimybių ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigoje aspektais. Interviu būdu apklausta 10 ikimokyklinio ugdymo mokytojų. Tyrimas atskleidė, kad vaikų emocinę sveikatą lemia alfa kartos vaikų bruožai, jos ugdymui(si) teigiamą poveikį daro šie veiksniai: saugumo užtikrinimas, kokybiško laiko su vaiku leidimas, mokymas(is) pažinti ir tinkamai reikšti jausmus, dėmesys vaiko gebėjimams ir jo fiziniam aktyvumui. Vaikų emocinės sveikatos ugdymo(si) procese tikslinga taikyti žaidimų, pagyrimų ir paskatinimų, pokalbių metodus, išnaudoti įvairių programų, projektinės veiklos, dailės terapijos, nusiraminimo pertraukėlių, kasdienių gyvenimiškų situacijų, savarankiškos vaikų veiklos teikiamas galimybes. ENThe foundations of a child’s emotional health are established at a pre-school age, in order to develop the optimal physical, emotional, social and cognitive maturity of a child, and successful readiness to start school. The question was posed: what are the specifics and possibilities of children’s emotional health education at pre-school? The aim of the study is to reveal the opinions and experiences of pre-school teachers in terms of the specifics and possibilities of children’s emotional health education at a pre-school educational institution. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature and documents, interviews and qualitative analysis of data. Interviews were taken from ten people from five pre-school educational institutions in the west Lithuania region. The qualitative study was conducted in September and October 2023. The interviewees agreed voluntarily to participate in the study. During the research, ethical principles of the study were observed. Content analysis and descriptive-interpretive analysis were used to process the data. Pre-school teachers emphasise the importance of emotional health in children’s socialisation. A child’s emotional health plays an important part in the context of becoming a person, achieving better educational results, and engaging in more effective communication. The study revealed the following features of children’s emotional health education at pre-school: children’s emotional health is conditioned by the traits of alpha-generation children, namely they are courageous. s. However, on the other hand, children of this generation are emotionally sensitive, emotional, impulsive, distracted, have difficulty paying attention, and have difficulty communicating.The development of emotional health is conditioned by positive factors such as: ensuring safety, spending quality time with a child, helping them understand and properly express feelings, attention to a child's abilities, and physical activity. The analysis of teachers’ opinions highlighted the possibilities for children’s emotional health education at pre-school: the experience of teachers shows that in the teaching process it is advisable to apply the methods of games, praise and encouragement, and conversation, to employ the techniques of various programmes, projects and other activities, art therapy, calming breaks, and everyday life situations, and to provide an opportunity for independent activities. However, different problems arise in the process of developing children’s emotional health at pre-school, such as a lack of cooperation and involvement of parents in the education process, the lack of children’s social and everyday life skills, the large number of children in groups, etc. Keywords: pre-schoolers, emotional health education, pre-school, teachers’ opinions and experience.
