ENThe catalogue gives a description of 515 money hoards hidden in the present territory of Lithuania in 1390-1865. Location of hoards as well as the time of hiding and discovery are indicated. The findspot and the circumstances of discovery as well as the further fate arc described. A list of coins and bars is presented. Written sources and narrative information is indicated as well as the place of storage of some finds. Data about hoards has been collected from periodicals, archives and manuscript sections at libraries, museum and offices of monument protection as well as numismatical literature of the 19th-20th centuries. Information received from finders of the hoards, collectors and other persons is accumulated and used here. Nearly all coins fromhoardsstored at museums and in some private collections had been studied. The author was assisted here by Mikelis Balčius, owner of a private museum in Šventoji. The catalogue is composed oftwo parts. The first part deals with exactly dated hoards while the second part deals with not precisely dated hoards. Very little is known about the latter. Some ofthe hoards are doubtful. [From the publication]
