ENThe book presents thorough interpretation of Gadamer's hermeneutic understanding in the perspective of experiential attitude characteristic to Gadamer's philosophy; this attitude has been revealed and its different aspects defined. Also the critique of the theoretic thinking has been consistently explicated and the nature of Gadamer's research and discourse has been described against the background of dichotomy between experience and thinking. The book explores the nature of human cognition: relationship of subject to its object, essence and process of the relationship, and, what is of most importance, its methodological prerequisites in the perspective of two possible cognitive attitudes - theoretic and experiential. Scientific cognitive scheme of the Modern Times and its compound elements that best represent attitude of theoretic cognition have been chosen to be the main principle of structuring. Interpretation of Gadamers hermeneutics that is grounded on experience has been developed as consistent discussion of the separate elements of the scheme and the search for their equivalents in Gadamer's hermeneutics. Therefore, the paradigm of theoretic thinking that serves as contrastive background for analysis has been revealed in parallel with the display of the experiential thinking.
