ENThe article covers the conditions of the truce of 1591 between the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Russian State. A special attention in the research is paid to the learning of the foreign policy position of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during the signing and approval of the truce. The exclusive role of the Principality during the signing of the truce is noted. For the first time in Belarusian historiography, the issues of representing the foreign policy interests of Sweden by representatives of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania are investigated.
