ENThe study attempts to see the works by Władysława Syrokomla in the context of broadly understood green studies. Syrokomla was always deeply interested, and his interest was demonstrated in numerous poems and tales contributing to the myth of „natural beauty of the homeland”. The material for analysis appears not only rich, but also diversified in terms of the ways of poetic perception, offering innovative view on the human-nature relationships that seems close to the modern perspective. Thus, the article aims to prove that Syrokomla’s poetry, now almost forgotten, may be revisited in the context of the Polish version of Eco-Romanticism. Key words: green studies, philosophy, Eco-Romanticism, Lithuania, poetry. [From the publication]
