ENThe article is going to offer the detailed description of the intermedial context of the jubilee gift for H. Sienkiewicz Album od Ziemian znad Niemna H. Sienkiewiczowi (1875-1900), an interesting testimony of the reception and the worldview at the end of the 19th century. Apart from the dedication for the jubilarian, the album includes illustrations featuring Lithuanian motifs, authored by F. Ruszczyc, H. Weyssenhoff, K. Alchimowicz, H. Romerówna, J. Bałzukiewicz, St. F. Fleury, and K. Witkowski. I am going to analyse the verbal and the artistic effect of the album, its symbolic and persuasive content, possible literary connotations and ideological affinities with similar Lithuanian poems (Trakų pilis by J. Mačiulis and Lietuvos griuvėsių himnas by J. A. Herbačiauskas). Keywords: intermedial context, nobility of former Lithuanian-Belarusian lands, painting, reception, Sienkiewicz Henryk.
