LTStraipsnyje analizuojami dviejų rašytojų kūriniai: lietuvės Kristinos Sabaliauskaitės tetralogija „Silva rerum“ ir švedės Kerstin Thorvall trilogija „Signės istorija“. Darbe tiriami dažniausiai pasitaikantys moters socialinės lyties tradiciniai ir netradiciniai vaidmenys dviejų skirtingų kultūrų ir laikmečių moterų rašytojų, meniniu naratyvu atkuriančių praeitį, kūriniuose. Tyrimo metu išskirti 6 socialinės lyties vaidmenys: 4 tradiciniai (moteris motina ir moteris žmona, moteris dukra, moteris namų puoselėtoja) ir 2 netradiciniai (moteris nuotykių ieškotoja, moteris konkurentė). Ištyrus šiuos vaidmenis matyti, kad istoriniame literatūros naratyve, nepaisant kūrinių erdvėlaikio, pagrindine semantine ašimi išlieka tradiciniai moters socialinės lyties vaidmenys, kurių neišpildymas suponuoja neigiamą poveikį vaizduojamos moters būviui ir netradicinių vaidmenų radimąsi. Pagrindiniai žodžiai: socialinė lytis, socialiniai moters vaidmenys, istorinis romanas, šeimos kronika. [Iš leidinio]
ENThe article focuses on feminine gender roles in tetralogy "Silva rerum" by the Lithuanian writer Kristina Sabaliauskaitė and trilogy "The Story of Signe" by Swedish author Kerstin Thorvall. The main aim of this article is to explore the most common traditional and non-traditional roles of women‘s gender in the family chronicles of two female writers from different cultures and times. The article provides a brief overview of the family chronicle genre and gender studies and distinguishes traditional and non-traditional female gender roles observed in the chronicles. In the research, attentive reading and interpretive methods are used to understand and interpret women’s gender roles in literature. Based on the concept of gender and gender roles, 6 gender roles of women are identified. 4 traditional (mother and wife, daughter, and caregiver (/housewife)) and 2 non-traditional (adventuress and competitor). The analysis of the chronicles and the definition of the traditional and nontraditional roles of women shows that both writers raise very similar women‘s issues. In both "Silva rerum" and "The Story of Signe", the core of a woman‘s identity is still being the woman of the house: mother and wife. Despite the different spacetime of the chronicles, when women cannot fulfil the requirements of the „true woman“, they feel disturbed and lost, which leads to the emergence of non-traditional roles. For both writers, it is important to tell the history in their own time through delving into the inner world of women and the conflict that arises within it due to the existence of traditional roles. Thus, despite the spacetime setting, the works also mark the history of the time in which the writers lived – the still ongoing emancipation of women. Key words: gender, feminine gender roles, historical narrative, family chronicle. [From the publication]
