ENThe Anduln/Ėgliškiai-Anduliai cemetery is the largest Curonian burial site ever researched. However, during the Second World War the cemetery’s artefacts and archival materials were scattered across various museums, archives and other institutions in several countries. By bringing together the surviving pre-war finds and archival materials and following current archaeological investigations, an overall picture of the cemetery’s chronological and cultural development is now starting to emerge. The Anduln/Ėgliškiai-Anduliai cemetery started being used as a burial site in the late 2nd to early 3rd century AD. After which, with perhaps the exception of a small break during the Early Migration Period, the burial ground was continuously occupied until the late 12th century AD. [From the publication]
