ENThe aim of the current paper is to analyze fundamental values transformation trends; to look at the English language as one of the most important factors of globalization and its influence on the Lithuanian language and in particular on its vocabulary; to highlight the importance of the Lithuanian language as a fundamental value to the Lithuanian nation and its traditional culture. The research of the Lithuanian nations fundamental values and the Lithuanian language, as one of those values, under the social and cultural change is a relevant problem. The analysis of changes in fundamental values, especially the Lithuanian language, and Lithuanian culture can help predict the development of Lithuanian identity. The results of the research make it possible to blueprint some measures to foster the Lithuanian nations fundamental values and to preserve the Lithuanian language and culture in the intensive globalization process. In this article, the manifestation of values transformation in the Lithuanian language is considered on the basis of the most recent observations data. The relationship between the society and the language it uses is analyzed from a new dimension. The main source of data is the public spoken language used on the radio and television.
