ENA wide variety of social enterprises are acting on the socio-economic map of Lithuania. The existing legislative system separated De Jure and De Facto social enterprises creating diverse and even conflicting understanding about social entrepreneurship. In the article we will journey through the history of social enterprise development in Lithuania opening up dilemmas of transitional and transformational processes. The types and forms of social enterprises currently acting in the ecosystem of the social economy of Lithuania are defined and presented in the article. Finally, the discussion about the current moment that is an important turning point as well as tension point framed by the new Conception of Social Entrepreneurship approved by the Minister of Economy in 2015 is developed.
