The importance of counseling in the educational process is revealed by the common goal of the counselor (pedagogue) and the counselors (parents) - the pursuit of the child's well-being. Pedagogical parental counseling helps to educate parents, find out their expectations, solve various problems, etc. There is a need to expand the functions, specific knowledge and competencies of educators as professionals in the field of education, which would help to improve communication with the children‘s parents and to choose appropriate working strategies. The analysis of the results of the empirical research showed that consulting of parents raising pre-school children with individual educational needs provides the missing knowledge. It turned out that communication and interaction between teachers and parents is hampered by parents' unwillingness to cooperate, denial of the problems and unwillingness to solve them. Informants unanimously agreed that individual forms of counseling were the most acceptable for them and their parents. According to informants, most parents choose live chat, less often electronic means. The study revealed that educators lack knowledge about various disorders on how to manage stress and parental resistance. The analysis of the informants answers also revealed the need to organize practical trainings to teachers who work with children with individual educational needs how to prepare themselves for emotional counseling of parents on how to overcome parental resistance.
