LTKultūros keliai – Europoje įtvirtintas ir sėkmingai veikiantis kultūros politikos instrumentas, kultūrinės atminties aktualinimo ir kultūrinio turizmo skatinimo modelis. Kultūros kelių vystymo Lietuvoje situacija visiškai kitokia – nėra nuoseklios, aiškios sistemos, o pavienės kultūrinės iniciatyvos ir projektai, vadinami kultūros keliais, neatitinka kultūros keliams keliamų reikalavimų. Straipsnis skirtas pirmojo Lietuvoje nacionalinio – M. K. Čiurlionio kultūros kelio – atvejo analizei. Straipsnyje pristatoma Lietuvoje vis dar dažnai klaidingai suprantama kultūros kelio, kaip kultūrinio turizmo vystymo instrumento, apibrėžtis, rengimo žingsniai, analizuojama kultūros kelių problematinė situacija Lietuvoje. Atlikta atvejo analizė parodė, kad M. K. Čiurlionio kelias – unikalus atvejis, kuriantis precedentą Lietuvos kultūrinio turizmo lauke. Pristatoma, kaip gimė iniciatyva rengti pirmą tokį projektą Lietuvoje, kokie konkretūs jo realizavimo žingsniai, etapai, įgyvendinamos veiklos, struktūros, finansavimo ir viešinimo modeliai. Straipsnyje atskleidžiama, kad nacionalinis M. K. Čiurlionio kultūros kelias įgyvendinamas, kai institucinė kultūros kelių plėtros, paramos ir akreditavimo sistema Lietuvoje dar tik kuriama. Reikšminiai žodžiai: kultūros kelias, kultūrinis turizmas, M. K. Čiurlionio kelias. [Iš leidinio]

Cultural route means a cultural, educational, cultural heritage, and tourism cooperation project aimed at creating and promoting one or more tourist routes related to a historical route, a cultural concept, a personality, or a phenomenon of exceptional importance. We can also define the cultural route as a product of cultural and creative tourism, the theme of which creates cultural value, and in which heritage objects and cultural attractions play an essential role, and which provides an opportunity to participate in creative activities and learn. Cultural routes are classified according to their structure, theme, area covered, historical base, and infrastructure necessary for visitors. There are four levels of the cultural routes: regional, national, international, and of the Council of Europe. Cultural routes are different in the location of their heritage, so they are divided into three types: territorial model, linear route, and network model. 2. There are five main steps that need to be taken to create a new cultural route: 1) defining the topic; 2) identification of heritage elements; 3) creation of a network with legal status; 4) coordination of joint actions; 5) creating general visibility. 3. Lithuania is a part of the network of two routes of the Council of Europe – St. Jacob's Route and the Route of Jewish Cultural Heritage. Since 2012, Lithuania has joined the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes, but cultural routes have not yet been developed and certified in the country. Various projects called cultural routes have been developed in Lithuania since 1995, but none of them has been developed to the level of a cultural route and did not meet the requirements set for them.4. M. K. Čiurlionis' Cultural Route is the first national cultural route in Lithuania, which started in May 2019, actualizing the places of M. K. Čiurlionis' life and work. The Association of Museums has become the operator of the route and a network of 11 partners has been gathered for the construction of the route, which in turn gathers its partners for the ongoing activities. The activities implemented within the framework of the cultural route are divided into general and individual. Within the framework of M. K. Čiurlionis' Cultural Route, such activities as identification of objects related to M. K. Čiurlionis' personality, organization of events and educational programs, scientific research, publishing, and publicity are implemented. The goal is to develop M. K. Čiurlionis' Cultural Route to the level of an international cultural route from 2022. M. K. Čiurlionis' Cultural Route is being developed and is actually being implemented, when the national system of accreditation and certification of Lithuanian cultural routes is still being developed.
