Summary / Abstract:

Pagrindinės temos, kurios aktualios specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių vaikų tėvams: bendravimo, deramo elgesio formavimas, emocijų valdymo, konfliktų sprendimas, tačiau raidos ypatumus įvardijo kaip svarbiausią temą; kartu konstatuojama, kad vis dar aktuali problema išlieka specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių vaikų tėvų domėjimasis pedagoginiu švietimu, siekiant sėkmingos ikimokyklinio amžiaus specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių vaikų socializacijos. Reikšminiai žodžiai: pedagoginis tėvų švietimas, specialieji ugdymosi poreikiai, socializacija. [Iš leidinio]

ENToday, parent education is often associated with a lack of awareness of child's education and is focused on enhancing parent educational experience. At the scientific and practical level, parent education can be organized through a variety of forms, which depend on the number of participants, the ways of communicating with parents, etc. Teachers and parents collaborate in different ways: through children, through meetings, using technology. The cooperation and partnership between parents and preschool teacher is very important for a child with special educational needs. Every individual is very social by nature and has social needs at birth – attention, closeness, love, security, and acceptance. According to Giedrienė (2011), the main socialization tools that an individual uses when joining the community and society - language, intellectual powers, emotional response to their own and other people's problems, linguistic and non-linguistic communication skills. SEN children, due to the inadequacy of their biological development, do not have sufficient means of socialization, so parents' understanding of how to help SEN children interact with other children and adults, resolve conflicts, engage with other children in educational activities is important. Educators try to listen to the needs of parents of children with special educational needs, but pedagogical education remains relevant and challenging. The object of the research is pedagogical parent education. The aim of the research is to investigate the condition and the need of pedagogical parent education for successful socialization of preschool children with SEN.The objectives of the research: 1. To highlight aspects of parent pedagogical education in preschool children with SEN through theoretical analysis. 2. To reveal the forms of pedagogical education through the content analysis of interviews for successful socialization of preschool children with SEN. Research methods: 1) analysis of scientific literature, 2) oral interview using semi-structured interviews, 3) data processing using content analysis. One “N” preschool was selected for the study. Five preschool teachers were selected as participants of the research. The content of the teachers' questions is related to the research material received and the categories reflecting the aim and objectives: parent pedagogical self-education, forms of parent pedagogical education; parent education topics. The results of the research reveal that teachers consider important forms of pedagogical education that convey knowledge (individual interviews, counselling), but also those that are based on personality activity: discussions, joint educational activities, because parents can become partners of educators. The main topics of interest to parents of SEN children are: parenting, communication with peers and adults, emotion management, conflict resolution, however, the development of the child is the least. At the same time, it is stated that the interest of parents of children with special educational needs in pedagogical education in order to achieve successful socialization of preschool children with SEN remains a relevant issue. Key words: pedagogical parent education, special educational needs, socialization. [From the publication]
