ENIn the Semigallian territory a part of the lst-12th and 16th-17th century cemeteries uncovered and examined. A whole complex is concentrated near the Ašvinė River. The Roman period barrows were set on the right bank of the river. An inventory of that period - eye brooches and triangular foot brooches, as well as Berlock-type pendants - have been found there. Three graves of the 16th-17th centuries have been examined in the territory of the barrow. The 5th-12th century Semigalian cemetery has been set on the left bank of the Ašvinė River. People were buried non-cremated. Four graves of the 5th-7th centuries have been explored and sixteen were dated to the 8th-12th centuries.
