Kokliai iš sklypo Bokšto g. 6 Vilniuje: archeologija, rekonstrukcija, sklaida

LTIlgamečiu archeologijos tyrimų metu Vilniuje, sklype Bokšto g. 6, tirtas XIII a. antrosios pusės - XX a. kultūrinis sluoksnis, siekęs iki 7 metrų storio. Čia rasta daugiau nei 30 000 vnt. įvairių radinių, iš kurių nemažą dalį sudarė plokštinių koklių fragmentai, datuojami pradedant XVI amžiumi. Dalies koklių motyvai labai panašūs į randamų Vilniaus žemutinės pilies teritorijoje. 2019 m. gauta valstybinė stipendija šių koklių rekonstrukcijai. Tikslas-archeologinių koklių rekonstrukcijų kolekcijos sukūrimas. Pasirinkta atkurti retai aptinkamus arba aukšto meninio lygio koklius ir herbinę plokštę. Nagrinėjami koklių rekonstrukcijos etapai, technologiniai procesai: modelio kūrimas, artimos originaliai molio masės paruošimas, glazūrų spalvinės gamos parinkimas ir koklio išdegimas. Gotikos ir Renesanso keramikos rekonstrukcijų kolekcijos papildymas prisideda ne tik prie mokslinio tyrimo, bet ir prie detalesnio Vilniaus miesto gyvensenos suvokimo, istorinių keramikos dirbtuvių veiklos tyrimo ir vizualaus šio objekto pristatymo visuomenei tolesnės sklaidos. ENA cultural layer up to seven metres thick in the plot at 6 Bokšto Street in Vilnius, covering a period from the second half of the 13th century to the 20th century, has been the object of long-term archaeological research. An extensive collection of 16th-century panel stove tiles, in addition to other types of finds, has been amassed during the research. In terms of their motifs, some items resemble closely those found at the site of the Lower Castle of Vilnius. The reconstruction of an archaeological find, from a shard of a vessel or a fragment of a tile to a reconstructed artefact, takes place in certain stages. Firstly, the sampling of the find for the purpose of reconstruction is important, which is done based on a consideration of criteria such as the relevance of the find, its artistic value, the retrospective aspect of a selected collection, and the reconstruction of a particular building (a manor house or palace). An essential phase in the reconstruction of a tile is making a mould of an original pattern. Casting stove tiles in moulds is also a thorough and time-consuming process. An analysis of the colour scheme of the glazing of a stove tile is by far the biggest challenge in the reconstruction of the stove tile. It involves a long process of laboratory-based experiments, including the preparation of a few or dozens of samples in search of the closest colour pattern.The choice of artefacts for reconstruction from the archaeological site at 6 Bokšto Street in Vilnius was not made at random. In view of the assessment of the items discovered at the site, which has been researched over a long period of time, the more noteworthy stove tiles and ceramic panels of high artistic or informative value were selected for reconstruction. The aim is to assemble a collection of Gothic and Renaissance stove tiles of Vilnius provenance for the purpose of the study and dissemination of the Lithuanian heritage of stove tile production. The reconstructed stove tiles circulate in the format of exhibitions touring other cities of Lithuania and abroad, thereby presenting the ancient craftsmanship of stove tile makers.
