Improving the organization of pupils‘ transfer fromschool to school: Lithuanian case

LT[...] Šiame straipsnyje pristatoma dalis 2005 metais Lietuvos ŠMM užsakymu vykusio tyrimo rezultatų. Straipsnio tikslas - išanalizavus mokyklos keitimo organizavimo tobulinimo teorinį ir praktinį kontekstą, pagrįsti specialių mokyklos keitimo programų vykdymo poreikį ir programas sudarančių priemonių taikymą. [...] Taikant apklausos raštu metodą buvo apklausti 2732 mokyklą pakeitę mokiniai, jų tėvai, klasių auklėtojai ir mokyklų vadovai. [...] Atlikus tyrimą galima daryti išvadą, kad mokyklos keitimo organizavimo tobulinimo pamatas – specialios programos, kuriomis siekiama užtikrinti stabilų mokinių akademinį, psichologinį ir socialinį funkcionavimą mokyklos keitimo metu. [...] Dažniau tokių programų poreikį jaučia mergaitės (lyginant su berniukais), geriau besimokantys mokiniai, keičiantys ne tik mokyklą, bet ir ugdymo pakopą mokiniai (pvz., pereinant iš pradinės į pagrindinę mokyklą, arba iš pagrindinės – į gimnaziją). Lyginant mokyklos tipo gimnazistai dažniau išreiškia poreikį specialioms programoms atžvilgiu. Su mokinių amžium šis poreikis nemažėja. [...] Mokinių apklausos rezultatai patvirtino, kad mokytojų ir mokyklų vadovų nurodytos mokyklos keitimo priemonės iš tiesų yra taikomos praktikoje ir, mokinių požiūriu, yra gana veiksmingos. Mokyklą keičiantys mokiniai sulaukia nemažai pagalbos iš savo klasės auklėtojų, dalykų mokytojų, mokyklos vadovų, tėvų, klasiokų, greitai įsitraukia į naujos klasės ir mokyklos gyvenimą. ENThis article presents part of the results of the research commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Education in 2005. The article aims to analyze the theoretical and practical context of the organization of changing schools and justify the need for the implementation of the special school changing programmes, as well as the application of measures constituting these programmes. 2732 students who changed schools, their parents, class tutors and school headmasters were surveyed by means of written questionnaires. The research indicates that the basis for the improvement of the organization of school changes are the special programmes which aim to ensure the stable academic, psychological and social functioning of students at the time when they change schools. The need for such programmes is greater among girls (in comparison to boys), better students, as well as students who are changing not only their school but also the level of their education (e.g., moving from primary to secondary school, or from secondary to a gymnasium). This need is not dependent on the age of students. The results of the students’ survey confirmed that the school changing measures specified by teachers and headmasters are truly applied in practice and, from the students’ point of view, are fairly effective. Students who are changing schools receive substantial support from their form tutors, teachers, school administration, parents, and classmates, and become involved in the life of the new class and school. Albums with recollections and wishes made by former classmates are appreciated the most.
