LTSociokultūrinis darbas yra viena iš bendrųjų socialinių paslaugų. Mūsų visuomenėje tai reikšminga, nors ir nepakankamai išplėtota socialinių darbuotojų praktinės veiklos kryptis. Vykstant įvairiems pokyčiams visuomenėje jaučiamas ne tik socialinių, bet ir kultūrinių, dvasinių paslaugų poreikis. Ypatingai tai išryškėjo Covid-19 pandemijos metu, kai socialiniai darbuotojai susidūrė su daugybe iššūkių, o neigiamus pandemijos padarinius pajuto visi žmonės. Siekiant neutralizuoti šiuos padarinius bei prevenciniais tikslais išvengti socialinių problemų, skatinti teigiamus pokyčius visuomenėje vykdomas sociokultūrinis darbas. ENSociocultural work is one of the general social services. In our society, it is an important, if underdeveloped, area of practical activity for social workers. In the context of various changes in society, there is a great need for social, cultural and spiritual services. This was particularly evident during the Covid- 19 pandemic, when social workers faced many challenges and the negative effects of the pandemic were felt by all people. In order to counteract these effects and to prevent social problems to promote positive changes in society, socio-cultural work is being carried out. This article aims to show the impact of socio-cultural work in addressing the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in problems of people living in a rural area. The object of the article is the impact of socio-cultural work in a rural eldership on Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this article is to investigate the impact of socio-cultural activities in a rural eldership on the Covid-19 pandemic. Objectives: to identify the concept of socio-cultural activities; to investigate the impact of socio-cultural activities in X district, X eldership, in solving the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Characteristics of the research: the study was carried out in X eldership of X district. 28 members of the X community were interviewed, the general population was 30. The survey was carried out between 29 April and 6 May 2022 by means of a questionnaire survey. Main conclusion. The results of the study suggest that socio-cultural services were provided to people of all ages in Eldership X, Commune X during the Covid-19 pandemic. This had a positive impact - they helped the population to become more involved in the community life, to realise their personal, cultural and social needs - to expand their knowledge, to develop their education, to improve spiritually, to creative energy.Although the population needed to be activated to engage in socio-cultural activities, their participation in these activities helped them to relax, encourage activity, increased the desire to communicate and to realise their creativity. This reduced stress and anxiety, for seniors, the feeling of loneliness. It can be argued that socio-cultural activities helped to address social prevention of social problems and reduction of social exclusion, increased the confidence of individuals self-confidence, improved emotional, mental and physical health. The results of the study showed that the participants identified similar characteristics of the Covid-19 pandemic consequences in the X eldership, have a good knowledge of the situation, and are actively involved in the community socio-cultural life in the municipality, have a positive attitude towards the benefits and meaning of socio-cultural activities in overcoming problems caused by the pandemic. This is a prerequisite for the development of socio-cultural activities involving more of the population of the municipality in a wider range of activities.
