ENTraffic safety depends on visibility which is affected by the weather. Even if the weather is good, it's hard for a driver to see a pedestrian in the dark without using a reflector or using it in a wrong manner. As a result, the risk to traffic and pedestrian safety increases. A decrease in traffic safety is observed due to the improper use of reflectors, incompatible with the requirements of the Traffic Law. After conducting a quantitative study and analytical calculations on the use of reflectors at the intersections of the city of Klaipėda the obtained results are presented graphically. The article reviews the obtained results, which show the 2011-2022 dynamics of the use of reflectors. The analysis showed that the use of reflectors decreased from 5% to 3% during the analyzed period. Only the mutual awareness of pedestrians and drivers can have positive results for road safety, which aims to reduce the number of road deaths to zero by 2050, according to the “Vizija – 0” strategy.
