Tad straipsnio šerdis - antrųjų režisierių apskritai ir Reginos Vosyliūtės darbo įrašymas į kino istoriją. [Iš leidinio p. 16]

ENFeminist film theory allows us to look at the history of cinema from a perspective that does not exist in traditional cinema historiography, seeing the creation of a film as a result of collective effort, and not a sole person’s merit. The feminist perspective also helps to shift the focus from the traditionally dominant men directors to the lesser-known female professionals working in less visible positions, the First AD, in Soviet cinema so-called secondary directors. What is more, it allows us to perceive the Lithuanian Film Studio atmosphere from the perspective of women working there at that time, understand the role of these secondary directors in film creation, and at the same time present the changing canons of writing cinema histories. The article centres around the creative portrait of film director Regina Vosyliūtė, helping to identify her creative input into the development of cinema, the birth of Lithuanian film stars, and certain professional circumstances that were confining her. The reconstruction of Vosyliūtė and other secondary directors’ job characteristics highlights the aspects of the hierarchical relationships and the distribution of responsibilities on the Soviet film set, making them more comprehensible today. Such historical reconstruction helps identify the gendered practices not only within the historiography of cinema, but also on the film set at the time. [From the publication p. 354-355]
