LTŠiame straipsnyje tiriami Balio Sruogos laiškai dukrai Daliai Sruogaitei: „Teatro romantika“ (1941 m. gegužės 31 d.) ir „Tikroviškumas vaidybos mene“ (1944 m. birželio 5 d.). Laiškuose rašytojas XX amžiaus viduryje humanitarinės katastrofos akivaizdoje apibendrina teatro meno padėtj ir siūlo teatro evoliucijos perspektyvas. ENIn this article we highlight Balys Sruoga letters to his daughter Dalia Sruogaitė, “The Romanticism of Theatre” (“Teatro romantika” of May 31, 1941) and “Verisimilitude in the Art of Acting” (“Tikroviškumas vaidybos mene” of June 5, 1944), the writer summarizes the present state of the art of theatre in the face of a humanitarian catastrophe in the middle of the 20th century, and offers the prospects for theatres evolution. The research of the writer Balys Sruogas letters about the theatre of the future aims to determine what kind of theatre evaluation criteria he set for the creators of the theatre of the future, from a catastrophic present to a predictable dissimilar future. We can also discern and better understand the utopian character of the vision of the future through the long experience of moving objects into a space that does not yet exist: an unreal space.
