Переворот 17 декабря 1926 г. в Литве в освещении латвийской прессы

ENThe article is devoted to the coup d’etat of December 17, 1926 in Lithuania in the assessments of the Latvian press. The change of the political system in Lithuania which was fulfilled relatively easily caused discussion in the public life of the Republic of Latvia about the effectiveness and viability of the parliamentary system, the possibility of a similar change of power in Latvia, and created the illusion that the right-wing forces would help resolve internal and external problems. Therefore, publications in Latvian newspapers dedicated to Lithuanian events should be considered not only like a reaction on the events in neighboring state but also as a discussion of the future development of the own country.
