ENThe volatile dynamics of the world economy and the negative trends in the development of the countries of the European Union in recent years have had a significant impact on the economy of Lithuania. Lithuania has one of the highest levels of energy dependence of the economy in the countries. This paper provides an overview of the overall economic situation in the Republic of Lithuania, and also draws conclusions about the economic development trend. The author in this article analyzed the socio-economic policy of the country, which examined the changes in the most important indicators for the period 2005-2015. For a detailed analysis of socio-economic activities, the following indicators are considered: the Index of Prosperity of the World Countries of the Legatum Institute, Index Gini, the Human Development Index and the Competitiveness Index of Countries. The tool used analysis of the structure and dynamics of indicators that characterize the state of the manufacturing industries in Lithuania, as well as the socio-economic situation in the country.
