ENFive book collections are kept at Gabrielė Pelkevičaitė-Bitė Public Library of Panevėžys County, belonging to such persons as: teacher, linguist, poet Leonas Kuodys (1902-1975): writer Kazimieras Barėnas (b. 1907); teachers: Julija (1903-1979) and Petras (1902-1950) Rupšiai and their daughter Joana-Laimutė Rupšytė (1938-2000), French philologist, translator, theatre critic; teachers, litterateurs Elena Gabulaitė (1916-1999) and Aleksandra Šilgalytė (1904-1997); the founder of Panevėžys Drama Theatre, stage director Juozas Miltinis (1907-1994). Fach of these collections is the most valuable creation of their owners' life, reflecting their education, hobbies, interests. The books of the collections are marked with various hook signs - inscriptions of the owners of the books, stamps, dedication inscriptions, bookplates. These books began a new life at the Library - they have become accessible to the public. [From the publication]
