ENThe article is devoted to the study of the nobility of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania of the XIV–XVI centuries in modern Ukrainian historiography. The author defines the key directions of development of Ukrainian lituanistics, considers and analyzes the main works of Ukrainian historians in this direction. It is stated about the formation of the scientific school of doctor of historical Sciences N. N. Yakovenko. Significant achievements of Ukrainian historiography in the study of political and social history, the history of law and legal culture, genealogy and heraldry of princely and gentry families, and gentry land ownership are noted.
