Enhancing and hindering factors affecting the integration of a philosophy of profession in higher education curricula

LTTyrimo problemos pagrindą sudaro šie klausimai: Kokie yra stiprinantys ir trikdantys faktoriai, darantys poveikį profesijos filosofijos integravimui aukštojo mokslo curriculum? Kokie yra trikdantys ir palaikantys faktoriai, sąlygojantys studentų supratimą apie profesijos filosofiją ir kaip tai pasireiškia jų patirtyse aukštajame moksle? Tyrimo tikslas: atskleisti ir paaiškinti stiprinančius bei trikdančius faktorius, kurie daro poveikį profesijos filosofijos integracijai aukštojo mokslo curriculum. Tyrimo metodai: duomenys rinkti taikant rašytinių esė techniką, o analizuoti taikant kokybinės latentinės kontentinės analizės metodą. Tyrimo imtį sudarė 150 studentų, studijuojančių aukštosiose mokyklose slaugą, kineziterapiją ir socialinę pedagogiką. Tyrimo rezultatai: 1) Studentų supratimas apie profesijos filosofiją orientuotas į tikslą ir kompetenciją bei apima ryšius su studento asmenybe, praktika, asmeninio ir praktinio lygmens integravimu, o pagrindiniais faktoriais traktuojamas žinių pritaikomumas, etiška elgsena, savęs įgalinimas, asmeninis vystymasis, kompetencijos realizavimas. 2) Stiprinantys ir trikdantys faktoriai, darantys poveikį profesijos filosofijos integravimui aukštojo mokslo curriculum yra skirstomi į tris lygmenis (išorinį, vidurinįjį ir vidinį) bei apima orientacijas (kiekviena orientacija remiasi skirtingais lygmenimis ir kiekvienos turinys skiriasi) į studento asmenybę, kolegas studentus, dėstytojus, praktikus, švietimo instituciją, praktikos organizaciją, profesiją, studento šeimą, klientą ir kliento šeimą. ENThe problem of the research is: What are the enhancing and hindering factors that influence the integration of professional philosophy into the curriculum of university education? What are the enhancing and hindering factors that condition university students’ understanding of professional philosophy and how is it expressed in their experiences in university education? The aim of the research is to reveal and explain enhancing and hindering factors that influence integration of professional philosophy into the curriculum of university education. Methods of research: data was collected from written essays and analysed by the quality latent content analysis. Results of the research: 1) Students’ understanding about professional philosophy is oriented towards purpose and competences, covering relation with the student’s personality, practice, integration of personal and practical levels, and applicability of knowledge, ethical behaviour, self-empowerment and realisation of competences are considered as key factors; 2) The enhancing and hindering factors that influence the integration of professional philosophy into the curriculum of university education are divided in three levels (outer, medial and inner) and covers orientations (every orientation is based on different levels and has different content) towards a student’s personality, fellow students, lecturers, interns, the educational institution, internship organisation, profession, the student’s family, the client and the client’s family.
