Ofortas "Rožinio Švč. Mergelė Marija": Roma - Vilnius - Deguliai - LLBM

LTLietuvos liaudies buities muziejaus (toliau – LLBM) eksponatai iš pirmosios, ankstyviausios M (meno) inventorinės knygos – seniausiai pakliuvę į muziejų, surinkti dar per pirmąsias ekspedicijas, XX a. septintojo dešimtmečio pabaigoje, mažai tyrinėti. Šiame straipsnyje, remiantis menotyrine ir istorine-genealogine medžiaga, atkuriama vieno LLBM eksponato, oforto „Rožinio Švč. Mergelė Marija“ (LBM 2651; M 1010), istorija – nuo jo autoriaus ir sukūrimo vietos Romoje iki patekimo pas Vilniaus Šv. Dvasios vienuolyno dominikonus, vėliau – į Pliaterių Degulių dvarą prie Utenos ir pagaliau – į LLBM. Taip pat straipsnyje aptariama iki šiol nežinoma Vilniaus dominikonų tradicija – rinkti metų šventąjį globėją (buvo išrinktas 1842 m.), kaip loterijos kortelę panaudojant minėtą ofortą; pasakojama, kas toji Marija Pliaterienė, kuriai buvo suteikta ypatinga garbė ištraukti metų šventąjį globėją. ENThe exhibit of the Open-Air Museum of Lithuania, an etching “The Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary” (LBM 2651; M 1010) entered the museum in 1969, during the museologists’ first expeditions in Lithuania. It came with other exhibits from Utena district, Rokavalkiai village. The only information in the acceptance certificate about this exhibit was: “A picture with glass. From Pliateris Manor”. The engraving was not investigated, so when it was digitized, it was interesting in both the personality and work of its engraver and the inscription on the back, where the date of 6th January 1842 was indicated as well as Vilnius Dominican Monastery of the Holy Spirit and Countess Marija Pliaterienė were mentioned. It was decided to find out the history of the exhibit, the etching “The Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary ”. Based on art research and historical-genealogical material, this article recreates the history of a museum engraving from the presentation of the creative path of its author, Italian, Roman engraver Luigi Banzo (1805–1877) in Rome to its arrival at Vilnius Dominican Monastery of the Holy Spirit, later on, its way to the Deguliai manor near Utena, and finally to the Open-Air Museum of Lithuania. The article also discusses the hitherto unknown tradition of Vilnius Dominicans – to elect the Holy Guardian of the Year during the Magi (Three Kings), that in 1842 was elected as a lottery card using the etching discussed in the article, and also tells who Marija Pliaterienė was, who was given the special honor of pulling out the holy patron of the year with the “destiny of happiness”. The task to find out the history of the exhibit, the etching “The Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary”, which turned out to be interesting and multi-layered, was fulfilled. [From the publication]
